We have just had the most fabulous weekend of glorious sunshine and heat and its back to being grey and cold today.
After my complaining about not looking forward to the weekend I've just had the most brilliant time.
Started in the pub with Loops and we were joined by some of the boys from work and as it was such a nice evening we decided to be a bit hip and trendy with ourselves and headed up to Islington for more vodka. I then went onto meet Cosmic and the accountant who quite sensibly had decided not to play Badminton and were getting bladdered instead! Had an absolutely mental time dancing with the bouncer called Patrick, and laughing at the Mike Read lookylikey (By the way I am not referring to Frank Butcher, I'm talking about the 80's DJ with dodgy hair and glasses the size of dinner plates!!)
Anyway after all that and more alcohol me, Cos', John and Rich all stood around the streets of London haggling with taxi-drivers and managed to get home at about 2am, where we then proceeded to stay up for another couple of hours talking about music, and videos and drinking tea, eating toast and listening to................Paul Simon- quite why we were doing that I have no idea- we were intoxicated!
After the boys had gone at about 8.30 in the morning we stuffed bacon sarnies, I ruled out jumping around the gym with Mr Motivator as I figured sitting in the park was a much better option for my hungover body! I was joined by the Scary Scouser and we managed to get ourselves lovely pink tans!
As if that wasn't enough excitement me and Abs 'double-dated' with Cos' & Inigo. Actually it wasn't really a date for me and Abs as he is one of my good friends. We have known each other for about 5 years now and we did used to go out with each other but that was when we first met. We have snogged occasionally since then and did again on Saturday. I don't know why I did really- he's a great guy but no....I can't be getting involved romantically with him again. It's too weird and I haven't fancied him for a long time.
Anyway after more bacon sarnies on Sunday morning we spent the rest of the day in the park with a picnic, playing footie and bat & ball and watching Simon run into a tree and an English sheepdog running off with our ball!! We got a bit brave and ventured over to the funfair as well and went on the waltzer where we successfully managed to not only make ourselves feel dizzy and sick but also live in fear for our lives as it made weird-ass clunking noises as we span round in the barrel and starting havings visions of me, Cos', Inigo and Scary Scouser being launched across Valetines Park in a waltzer barrel before crash landing in the hot-dog van!!
All in all a wicked weekend and now a thoroughly cold and depressing Monday afternoon!
