What a fab weekendadmittedly most of it passed in a drunken blur but arent they usually the best ones??!
Friday night was a works thing, lots of vodka and karaoke, resulting in me just about being able to walk!!
I woke up with a start just as my train was pulling into my station and proceeded to stumble into the kebab shop, where, still conscious of my points intake, I ordered a salad in pitta bread and a diet coke. I think I got a cab home, I must have done because I know I didnt walk (I had stupid heels on!) and I dont remember getting the bus so I must have! However, upon arriving home I discovered the following things:
i) When hammered I talk to myselfa lotmainly telling myself what an idiot I look like bouncing off the walls and talking to myself!
ii) I become even more clumsy than usual. In an attempt to open the wrapping on my pitta bread thingy, I successfully managed to drop most of it over my bed leaving nice tomato stains on my clean cream duvet. Bugger! I then, in the course of setting my alarm for the morning (not an easy feat see iii below) knocked the entire contents of a can of diet coke over my bedside unit, my bed and the floor, which meant that I then had to tackle the Vanish Carpet Mousse whilst shit-faced to ensure removal of stain from carpet.
iii) Somehow, in the course of changing my alarm from 6am to 9pm, I managed to actually put the time back an hour and set my alarm for 9.pm. How very ingenious of me!
So Saturday, once my hangover had worn off SiDan and Sis bro, came and collected me and we made our way to Nottingham for the football. It was my first ever football match so I was looking forward to it, and I joined in with the beer drinking and pie eating and shouting You Fat Bastard and other such delightful chants at the opposing team! (and Im not even a forest fansorry Si!). Still, there was a fight on pitch, a player sent off, a disallowed goal and Forest kicked Sheffield Wednesdays butts 4-0. Far too much excitement for me. Especially when teamed with a stop on the way home at the McDonalds (in the middle of nowhere) designed inside and out to look like a spaceship..too much fun!
Then Saturday night after a quick stop off at our respective houses to freshen up and try and make ourselves look respectable, we headed back into Ilford for more beers, vodkas and shots. The highlight of the evening for Si was the 1.5 litre bottle of Grolsch that he just had to get for him and Dan, while Dan worked on some new moves for his boy band dancing (the routine is coming together quite nicely now I must admit!)
Anyway, now its back to work (boo hiss!) but thankfully we are now heading for bank holiday weekend so we all have next Monday offHURRAH!! And its 5 weeks today till we head off on holiday..HURRAH!!
