How could we have ever have thought that it was a good idea to drink 3 bottles of wine on a Sunday night? How was it a good idea to stay up till quarter to one this morning. Its a goddamn school night. What were we thinking?
Admittedly we were celebrating my return to the fishtank but jeez, you would think that we would have some sense by now wouldnt you. Enough to realise that drinking and late nights are not good ways to the start the week at least. It seems not! Anyway keep reading and you will see what happened.
The weekend shaped up like this:
Friday
Girlie night. Hurrah!
Wed arranged to stay in, eat food, and drink wine. And boy did we do that! Cosmic delighted the Beckster and I by calling from her mobile and singing to us on the phone. The good thing was we had her on hands free so we could both enjoy her most tuneful drunken singing. I must admit though that the dog did look a bit distressed at one point, especially when she was hitting the high notes!!
So after scaring the crap out of me by creeping up and banging on the living room window, we ordered enough food to open our own Chinese restaurant and washed it down with a couple of bottles of grape juice. We started fairly civilised (well as civilised as we can get!) but as the night progressed so did our standards and eventually led to a chocolate trifle fight between Cos and Becs. It was rather amusing to see them both covered with chocolate and whipped cream. Somehow I escaped...probably because they were planning to get me but had unfortunately lost the art of whispering!
Saturday
Took a chocolate covered Cos back to the fishtank and then hit the shops with D followed by a couple of much needed vodkas in the evening! All very tame compared to the night before and the night to follow!!
Sunday
After the packing of a zillion bags...Mrs and Mrs Fish are reunited! Yippee!!
As I mentioned we celebrated with chicken caesar salad and raspberry sorbet and wine and cigarettes and more wine and chocolate muffins (but they were 96% fat free so thats OK) and wine and cigarettes and wine and wine and pineapple with crme fraiche and wine.
We followed that with gossiping, Cos talking incessantly about him and how wonderful he is (someone pass the vomit bucket) and Cos trying to prove that she could do headstands. Obviously after 3 bottles of wine she couldn't and I took great delight in capturing the moment on film.
If anyone wants to see the evidence I am putting the camera film in to be developed later so if the photo comes out and you want a copy please let me know and I will be happy to send it on. Heh heh heh!!
I remember at some point Cos licked the TV screen...I cant remember why exactly but I think there was some rather fanciable young man on there. Apparently he didnt taste very nice!!
All in all though Im glad to be back at the fishtank. To have Cos shouting at me because Im not drinking quick enough or because I am falling asleep on the sofa, and to watch her prove her agility...and fail. Im not glad about the amount of food that I have had to eat today to keep me alive or the fact that I could quite easily fall asleep at any given point due to lack of sleep but then again thats just a small reminder that I am back to normality, so perhaps I am glad after all.
Oh and PS: If anyone loves me enough to have left a message in my fishbook, Im not ignoring you, I just cant get access to it at the moment.
