2006! 1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? I went to New York, loved it so much I want to go again!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't make any. I never stick to them so no point really!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Ali to the beautiful Lillia
4. Did anyone close to you die? My Nan. 10th November 2006. I miss her a lot.
5. What countries did you visit? America and Greece
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? I don't feel that I lacked anything really. I would like to have more money saved so that we can buy a house though!
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? There's a few from last year. 25th Feb - Stu and I officially started living together. 10 November - I lost my Nan, 17 November - her funeral.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Hmmm...not sure on this one...toughy question. May have to get back to you!
9. What was your biggest failure? Hopefully nothing!
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I picked up a tropical disease from somewhere. Don't laugh! Its true, I was so ill I lost about 8 pounds of weight in 5 days.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Ooh, couple of things. My Ipod, an oil painting and a few lovely pairs of shoes!
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? Ali for becoming a mummy (although not sure if that really counts as behaviour!)
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? Nobody that I can think of
14. Where did most of your money go? Shoes and clothes probably!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Going to New York
16. What song will always remind you of 2006? There are a few that stand out from this year: Moondance - from a friends wedding Anything by Take That as I have been soooo excited about them reforming (and seeing them at Wembley was excellent!)
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. Happier or sadder? Happier overall I think despite the sad moments
ii. Thinner or fatter? About the same I think/hope
iii. richer or poorer? Unfortunately about the same until I win the lottery or go on Deal or No Deal
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? I wish I'd been better at keeping in touch with people as I have been crap
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Stressing about unimportant things
20. How will you be spending Christmas? Christmas Day at my brothers house with him, my sis-in-law, my nieces and nephew, my parents and Stu. Boxing Day at Stu's mums.
21. What was your favourite TV program? Anything with Gordon Ramsay in!
22. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No
23. What was the best book you read? I read a few but the stand out ones were 'The Life and Death of Charlie St. Cloud' and 'The Five People You Meet in Heaven'.
24. What was your greatest musical discovery? Not sure actually.
25. What did you want and get? For things to work out with Stu and I when we moved in together - 10 months and things are going well
26. What was your favourite film of this year? Casino Royale (Daniel Craig - yum yum!)
27. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? We all went to Bee's on Saturday evening where she laid on a birthday spread for me, and then had my family round to my flat on the actual day (Sunday)for a chinese takeaway, and Stu took me for dinner and to see Guys and Dolls the day after. I was 29. (Only 2 and a bit months till my 30th...eek!)
28. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006? Errrr...what?!
29. What kept you sane? Stu, friends, wine
30. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Daniel Craig is my new favourite since seeing him emerge from the sea!
31. What political issue stirred you the most? Don't know. A lot of it annoys me!
32. Who did you miss? Beanie - Australia is too far away. Nan at the moment
38. Who was the best new person you met? Chas - the new girl at work. Its nice to have another female in a very male office
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006: Nothing is more important than family and friends. They're the people that get you through any emotional upheaval
