Today I eagerly await the delivery of a new TV and video. I fear, however, that's not what I am going to get delivered as the company I ordered it from are a complete nightmare!
It seemed like such a great plan at the time. Order a 28" TV (with free stand and free 5 year guarantee) and new video to make P's flat look great for when he puts it on the market and then take it to our house with us when we get one. Order it through a company that my work gets good deals with and in 3-5 days be the owner of a super-duper TV at a super-duper price (that part was successful at least!).
But after a week I had heard nothing, so I emailed them, and they replied saying they had the wrong card details for me. So I called them and after being passed around 3 different people and ending up speaking to an advisor who had no idea why I was put through to her (not her area apparently!)she said 'No Miss Adams, all your details are correct, I'll try and put payment through now'.
And I sit and watch my account online and I see my balance drop in front of my eyes. We arrange delivery for Thursday and I am a happy bunny.
Then yesterday I receive another email from the person that mailed me previously saying that the card details are incorrect and they cannot process payment. Erm...hello...what is the 400 quid that's about to come out of my account for then?! So I reply to him, and tell him I spoke to someone on the phone, that its all sorted and I can see the money due to clear from my account.
And then just to make sure I call them....again. I speak to someone very helpful called Frank and he says 'No Miss Adams, payment is fine. Your goods have been dispatched and will be with you on Thursday 2 October'.
I am soooo ending up with a washing machine and a microwave!!!
