Did anyone else hide behind their hands at numerous points in the film??!
Poor poor Muppet, not only did he have to contend with me asking Does my arm look swollen?? (It wasnt but it could have been one of the side effects of the Hepatitus A injection I had at the docs yesterday afternoon so I had to check!!), and being introduced to Blind-as-a-Bat-Clair (he wasnt aware I wore glasses until we got in the cinema!), he also had to deal with me hiding at the bloody scenes in the film.
Now Im not usually one for being squeamish. Fight scenes and stuff in movies dont usually bother me but boy is that film bloody. Its a good film, perhaps slightly too long at nearly 3 hours (I was a bit fidgety towards the end) but Daniel Day Lewis was excellent. His character was a total nutcase- he played it well..had that mad stary look of a lunatic about him!
Its weird you know, going out on proper dates with someone, its not usually the sort of thing I do. Im usually a go to the pub and drink kinda gal, but 2 official dates later and we have already covered dinner and the cinema. And I had a realisation last night, it just hit me as I was sitting in Muppets place moaning about feeling fluey (another side effect from the injection) and it just suddenly hit me. I really do like this guy a lot. Which kind of leaves me in a bit of turmoil coz part of me doesnt want to see T, or if I see him for there to be no spark between us. Im quite happy with the way things are with the Muppet at the moment. Because of the hours he works we cant really see each other more than a couple of times a week, which suits me down to the ground, and he makes me laugh. Always a good start. Ah well, I guess youll just have to watch this space to see what happens.
