Ive decided that I have a love/hate relationship with long weekends. I love them because we get extra days off work (on this occasion 2 extra) but I hate them because it makes it so much harder to come back in to work. Although I love them because it feels like a Monday and its actually Wednesday and nearly the weekend again.hurrah!
Still, the weekend was mad and I had a wicked time. I think it went something like this:
Friday
Passed in a haze of wine and drunkeness! By the time Bec arrived at the pub Ali and I were already on our second bottle of wine and at sometime around 7pm(it all becomes a bit fuzzy from here!) we clambered into Becs car and headed for Maidenhead, stopping only for crisps, ciggies and 3 bottles of wine to take with us!
A little bit later we arrive at Chriss pad and more wine was involved. At some point we ate food and went to the pub. Ali and I insisted on ice-cream but came back from the BP garage with Miniature Heroes and Celebrationsand a Twix. Which we decided was hysterically funny when Ali asked for it in Eddie Izzard stylee. We staggered back from the pub, to find that Langs evil brother* had arrived home, at which point I almost knocked myself out on Langs stoopid staircase and things descended into complete stupidity. The chocolates became great missiles and were launched around the room at each other and the empty boxes were extremely useful as hats for Ali and Dan when they passed out on the sofa!! (And chocolates make great confetti too as they were to discover!)
Saturday
We all felt slightly on the ropey side (I blame mine on the bang to the head from the night before) and decided that Burger King would be our only saviour!
Other than that it was a pretty lazy day. We drove back from Maidenhead, Bec and I went and stuffed our faces at Pizza Hut. I was in junk-food heaven!
Sunday
Well of course there can be only one thing to do at 10.30 on a Sunday morning. On went the England shirt and Bec and I turned into football hooligans and terrified my poor neighbours I think with the shouts and cheers that were coming from the flat!
After that I reverted back to being a girl, painted my toenails, faked tanned my entire body and used Bec as my personal stylist and hairdresser to make me look gorgeous (it took a while!) before heading off to my bros and then onto one of our old friends bday bbqs. (We were popular bunnies that day and had another 2 invites that we had to turn downits so hard being so popular sometimes!!! Ha ha!)
Monday
Despite the slightly dodgy weather we headed to the local park for a picnic. In true British tradition it rained on Bank Holiday Monday but did we wimp outdid we heck! Instead we carried on running around playing football in the rain (well trying to play football it was me, Bec and Ali after all!). The boys did some very interesting video footage (Dan likes bums we discovered, and Si likes to pretend hes a football pundit!) and at some point Ali and I decided it would be fun to do cartwheels. It wasnt so amusing on Tuesday when we ached like buggers!
I think the highlight of the weekend for me has to be the Party at the Palace and us using it as an excuse to play drinking games! Everytime the Royal Family were shown, or anyone said Are you having a good time? or mentioned anything to do with the Queen or the Jubilee, we had to drink. At some point during the evening we decided it should also be a rule that anytime anyone belched we had to drink. Needless to say we were all rather merry by the time it got to the fireworks and we had amused our neighbours no end by dancing around the flat with Union Jack flags(do you have a flag??!)
Tuesday
Not too much exciting happened for me yesterday. Ali and I were elbow deep in cleaning products in preparation for the fishflat inspection this morning and I parted with 6 bags, a black sack and a half of clothes and 5 pairs of shoes. I did however manage to find a pair of wedgey shoes that I bought about 3 years ago, have worn twice and then forgotten I had! Hurrah!
And now here I am back at work, getting confused by having that Monday feeling on a Wednesday and dreading the enormous stack of ironing that awaits me when I get home tonight! Pah!
Oh well, I have bored you for long enough, Im off to make myself a cuppa and look like I am vaguely interested in being here!
See ya
Fair
*Contrary to popular belief Langs evil brother is actually a pretty nice guy and even shared his bed with meand before you ask, no, nothing like that happened, we just slept. Now get youre filthy minds out of the gutter.come on.out of itNOW! Thank you!
