So last night Boy George was to receive my attentions. I went to see Taboo with some friends from work. I must say I was a bit apprehensive about going but the reviews Id read of it were all good so I decided to bite the bullet and go along. But oh my god am I glad I went to see it.
Its basically about Boy Georges life but he is not really the central character in it so you dont get any of the egotistical me, me and me stuff (which I was kind of expecting). Euan Morton, the guy that played George, was fantastic. He has an amazing voice but what got me the most was how like George he was. He has the mannerisms, the facial expressions, the eyes, everything. And Boy George is in it at the moment which was cool. Hes playing Leigh Bowery (a performance artist of the 80s) and of course he was totally flamboyant and extravagant.
Anyway, enough of me raving about the play, I have other things to do..like eat my lunch and find out when we are going to see We Will Rock You.
